HealthQuest Day 3

Posted in HealthQuest at 11:56 am by JWL

I feel *amazing* today. Fever is gone, and I woke up with clear lungs, feeling vibrant and alive. :-)

11:45am: 6000mg of ascorbic acid.

12:30pm: smoothie.

1pm: again, at the risk of TMI, seem to have achieved a “bowel tolerant” dose again. This could be the soup I had last night (which didn’t sit particularly well), or it could indicate that after yesterday’s detox my dosage has decreased. I’m going to take another 6G dose at 3pm and see how that sits. If the results are the same then it’s time to decrease the dosage.

3pm: 6000mg of Ascorbic Acid.

5pm: 6000mg of Ascorbic Acid. Also did some exercise, basic calisthenics and a full 15min shovelglove routine.

7:30pm. Kale/spinach salad dinner.

8:30pm 6000mg of Ascorbic Acid

I think part of what I struggle with about the prospect of a raw food diet is that I love the taste of foods that have been cooked…the flavour of foods that have been simmered over time and allowed to mingle with each other. Not having that would be a departure for me. But at the same time, I do like the taste of raw fruits especially avocados, strawberries, mushrooms, zucchini. How do you decide what foods to combine, JWL?

There’s no doubt that I miss the experience of eating some of my old cooked food favorites. But what I don’t miss is how I feel when I eat only cooked foods. I’m at the point where there is an obvious difference in the life-energy I feel when I eat. When I eat raw food, I feel more like I’m nourishing my body, not only with more chemical nutrients (enzymes, vitamins, etc) but also with chi (life energy etc). I’ve done energy work for years, but never bothered paying attention to the chi that is in our food, water, air. It’s definitely there, and when I consume food/water/air that is higher in chi, it pays off.
