What is this site all about, anyway?

Briefly, it is a place for me and others to record thoughts as they explore Druidry. If you are interested in Druidry and would like to participate, let me know.

First, about me (JWL): I am a longtime pagan. I began studying paganism 20 years ago, having run the gamut through neopaganism, wicca, shamanism, tarot, etc etc. The writings of Caitlin and John Matthews, and their take on Celtic Shamanism and Arthurian/Grailquest Spirituality has been most influential; funnily enough, I never realized until quite recently that they were the cofounders of one of the more famous neopagan Druidry orders. All this time I’d been “trained” by Druids, and I didn’t even know it!

I’ve been continuing to study Druidry over the past two years, becoming increasingly interested in the writings of Emma Restall Orr, I think her writings are brilliant. I particularly like her focus on Relationship.

My biggest teachers, however, are here in my local community, the various grovemates I’ve had over the past few years.
